Bathroom 01
This is a work I did during my spare time to keeping my Sketchup skill and rendering skill. I am really like to design interior even after study or work, I would just sit down and start design something from scratch. And so this bathroom is my first spare time project.
The idea is designing a bathroom with raw material theme and bringing in nature into the bathroom. The main material used in this project is concrete and cement.
Coming in from the entrance of the bathroom, on the floor and wall, everything is in cement and concrete, except the wall on both sides with mirrors I used cement tiles to make is as a feature wall inside the bathroom. The counter top for the basin is designed in "Z" to give some rhythm into the bathroom. On the top part using normal flat basin, on the lower part using a high basin with high water tap. This is to allow 2 user to use the basin without waiting another one to finished and also provided different choice in choosing which basin they want to use. Below the counter is a drop down to put pebble stones as a nature feature.
A glass panel in between the water closet and bathtub to prevent any water splash till the dry area of the bathroom. Another drop down at the bathtub and shower area to differentiate wet area and dry area of the bathroom. A towel hanger drop down from the ceiling also provided benefit for the user as it will not block the way or causing user hard to clean the bathroom when it is stand on the floor. Planter box is put at the wet area to allow user water the plant while having a shower or bath. The ceiling is designed to allow sunlight to come in the bathroom from 3 sides to make it brighter as well as bringing light for the plants.
On the other side of the bathroom is another counter with one basin. This counter is more of like a dresser for the female user. At here the user can put their shower needs and towels. The user also can put some daily skin care on this counter for them to use right after every shower / bath. Below the counter have 2 laundry bags to put their dirty clothes.
Another glass panel to divide the wet area and dry area of the bathroom. Same as the bathtub area, the shower area as well having a towel hanger drop down from the ceiling. The wall is pushed inside to allow user put their shower needs.
This project I did it to practice my design skills and CAD skills. I would say I still need to practice more to achieve a better skill and I always like to do so during my spare time.
